To provide our social media bookmarking services, we collect minimal data essential to the function of our application:

• Account Information: When you register a trial or premium account, we collect your Name and Email Address.
• Chrome Extension Cache: Our companion extension stores your secure Developer API token in local extension storage (`chrome.storage.local`) to authenticate bookmark saves. It parses and packages public HTML text layouts, images, and videos from webpage tabs only when you explicitly click the "Save Bookmark" button.
• Saved Bookmarks Data: We store your curated posts, platform media assets, unique tags, and folder organization on secure database servers.

2How We Use Your Information

SocialClipper exclusively leverages collected data to render and organize your custom dashboard library. We use your details to:

• Statically deliver your unified dashboard bookmarks grid.
• Verify your developer API token and prevent cross-origin database injection.
• Dispatch transactional onboarding emails and verification links via our Resend mail service.
• Securely verify premium subscription transactions and cancellation parameters via Stripe.

4Anti-Scraping Hashed Architecture

To safeguard your social archives from external harvesting, scraping, or brute-force URL guessing:

• We do not expose original platform post IDs inside browser dashboard links.
• We generate secure, consistent, 8-character alphanumeric post identifiers using deterministic cryptographic hashing algorithms (SHA-256) unique to your specific user context.
• All `/api` requests require valid developer Bearer API tokens, instantly blocking unauthenticated scrapers.

5Data Deletion & Account Erasure

You maintain complete authority over your data. You may delete individual bookmarks from your dashboard at any time. If you wish to permanently delete your account, wipe all stored bookmarks, and erase your developer API keys from our database records, you may do so instantly within your Account settings panel or by contacting legal support.

6Changes to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect modifications to browser permission policies or safety mandates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated modification date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes agreement to the updated policies.
