Welcome to SocialClipper. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SocialClipper website, companion Chrome browser extension, APIs, and cloud services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before registering an account or initiating your free trial.
1Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, initiating a 7-day card-free free trial, subscribing to our Premium Plan, or downloading our companion browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our Services.
2Description of Service
SocialClipper provides users with a unified curation workspace to clip, organize, and view content bookmarked from social media platforms (including Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn). The Service consists of:
- A companion Chrome Extension that captures and parses publicly available webpage layout content.
- A cloud-managed personal hub dashboard for sorting, searching, and organizing saved posts.
- Developer API tokens to facilitate authenticated cross-origin clips.
3Subscription, Free Trial, and Billing
SocialClipper is offered on a subscription model:
7-Day Free Trial: Registration initiates a complimentary 7-day trial period without requiring up-front credit card information. Upon trial completion, access to the dashboard is suspended unless upgraded.
Premium Subscription Billing: Our Premium Plan is billed on a recurring monthly cycle at $4.99 per month. Charges are processed securely via our payment provider, Stripe.
Cancellation Policy: Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time inside the Account Settings panel. Upon cancellation, your Premium access remains active until the end of the current paid billing cycle.
4Intellectual Property & User-Generated Content
Your Content Rights: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership, copyright, and control over all social bookmarks, media clips, text fragments, and structures you save to your personal hub. SocialClipper claims zero ownership, license rights, or commercial privileges over your curated content.
Our Intellectual Property: SocialClipper's codebases, design templates, layouts, SVG logos, brand assets, Chrome extension files, and brand identifiers are the exclusive property of SocialClipper. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without express written permission.
5Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any local, national, or international laws, including copyrights.
- Scrape, harvest, or index other users' private database endpoints.
- Disrupt the technical security, APIs, or performance integrity of the SocialClipper cloud servers.
- Attempt unauthorized access using forged or compromised developer API keys.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
6Limitation of Liability
SocialClipper provides its Services "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, SocialClipper, its founders, and affiliates disclaim all warranties, express or implied. SocialClipper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenues, or content access caused by external social media platform API closures.
7Governing Law
These Terms of Service, along with any disputes or legal actions arising from your use of the Service, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
